how it works

we rank the feed by what you actually build, not who you follow.

for every kind of developer

you don't need to be an AI researcher. full-stack, mobile, systems, game dev, data, frontend — if you ship code, you belong here. use copilot, cursor, claude, or nothing at all. the point is what you build, not how.

smart matchmaking

our ranking and relevance engine is powered by LLMs. you see people whose projects rhyme with yours — regardless of language, framework, or stack.

github-native

sign in with github, pick the repos you want to ship, and we auto-generate taglines from your readmes. zero config, zero manual entry. or go manual if you prefer.

collab suggestions

for every profile you see, claude suggests concrete projects the two of you could build together based on your shared stack, tools, and interests.

real chat

match, dm, ship. browse profiles, like the projects that inspire you, and message the people you want to build with.

no algorithmic churn

no follows, no influencer race. likes are a cheer, not a ranking signal — they don't change whose work you see. we rank purely by what you're building. fair discovery for indie devs without the noise.

who this is for

if you ship code, you belong here. the name has "vibe" in it because we love the new wave of creative coding — but every developer is welcome, regardless of stack or style.

indie hackers

bootstrapping a saas, building in public, looking for a co-founder or just someone to rubber-duck with.

full-time engineers

you have a day job but ship side projects after hours. meet other people doing the same.

ai-first builders

you prototype in cursor or claude code, ship fast, and iterate on llm-first ideas.

hobbyist coders

you code for fun. games, creative tools, weird experiments, personal websites.

students & bootcamp grads

you're learning and shipping as you go. find mentors, study groups, and future teammates.

systems & low-level devs

rust, c, zig, embedded, compilers. not everyone builds webapps — we rank by what you're into.

mobile developers

swift, kotlin, flutter. meet people shipping in the same ecosystems as you.

designers who code

you care about craft and detail. find builders who share your aesthetic.

hackathon regulars

you live for weekend sprints. discover future teammates before the next event.

faq

who is this for?+

any developer or technologist. indie hackers, hobbyist coders, senior engineers, students, bootcamp grads, hackathon regulars, designers who code. if you ship things — websites, apps, games, cli tools, libraries, experiments — this is for you.

do i need to be an 'AI developer' to join?+

no. the 'vibe' in vibe coders refers to the modern way people build — rapidly, with AI assistants in the loop. you can be writing raw C, building in unity, designing SaaS with next.js, or prototyping iOS apps in cursor. if you use any AI tool occasionally or heavily, or even not at all, you belong here. the community welcomes every stack.

is it free?+

yes — meet vibe coders is currently completely free to use during our early access period. browse the feed, publish ships, match, and chat without paying anything.

how are profiles ranked?+

our ranking and relevance engine is powered by LLMs. it reads your bio and projects and surfaces members whose work is a good match for yours, rotating the feed so you don't see the same people over and over. no follows, no popularity contest. likes exist, but they're a cheer — they don't influence who you see.

i'm not an indie hacker — i work a normal dev job. is this still for me?+

absolutely. lots of members work full-time at tech companies and build side projects after hours. the app is about finding people who are creative and actively shipping, regardless of whether that's their day job.

is there a mobile app?+

yes, we have a native iOS app with push notifications, apple sign in, and the full feature set. the web version mirrors it for desktop and android.

does it work without github?+

yes — you can sign in with google and add ships manually. type in title, tagline, tech stack, and a link. you'll get slightly better matchmaking with github connected since we can auto-pull readmes, but it's optional.
